Nottingham is a city in Nottinghamshire and has a population of around 325,210. The city presents numerous multicultural events all year round. These events often include, Sikh events, Indian-style carnivals, a firework display on Chinese New Year and even a large ceremony for St Patrick’s Day.

There are two football teams in Nottingham that play professionally, Nottingham Forest and Notts County. The two teams play at two different grounds on either side of the River Trent. Notts County was one of the oldest football clubs to play professionally in the world. Nottingham Forest plays in the Football League Championship at Level 2 and with the management of Brian Clough, won the European Cup twice. Since 1981 Nottingham city also holds a popular marathon each year called the Robin Hood Marathon.
